SUCCESS WITH BUSINESSES LOCAL BUSINESSES SUPPORTING THE WELSH Small businesses in Cardiff are increasingly using the Welsh Language to enhance their products and service to customers. Our language, culture and heritage are widely recognised as unique selling points in day to day businesses. Offering a bilingual service is fundamental in developing contacts with Welch customers and clients Menter Caerdydd (Cardiff Welsh Language Initiative is a community based movement whose main aim is to develop and promote the use of the Welsh Language. We offer free professional advice and support relating to the language in the private sector. During recent weeks Menter Caerdydd have been in contact with many local businesses in Cardiff, informing them of the many advantages of using the Welsh in their businesses, presenting them with Menter Caerdydd’s Private Sector pack and asking them to consider utilising the Welsh language in their businesses. Also provided was the bilingual “Open / Closed” door sign which many willingly agreed to display. Many businesses have shown their support.
